In some rare occurrences it is possible that the “half-sheet” popup for pairing Chipolo with your Android phone does not appear. For example, this may happen if you dismiss the popup by tapping somewhere else on the screen.
First, make sure that you have “Bluetooth” and “Location” turned ON, and that Find My Device app is updated to the latest version.
Bluetooth and Location allow the Fast Pair feature on your phone to automatically detect nearby devices.
For Google Pixel users:
- Swipe down from the top of the screen and tap Bluetooth to open the “Connected devices” screen.
- You should see the Chipolo ONE Point or CARD Point listed at the top of the screen.
- Tap on the Chipolo ONE Point or CARD Point to start the pairing process.
For all Android devices:
- Open the “Settings” app.
- Go to “Google” -> “Devices and sharing” -> “Devices”.
- Make sure “Scan for nearby devices” toggle is enabled.
- You will see a list of devices titled “Available devices nearby”.
- Tap on the Chipolo ONE Point or CARD Point on the list.
If none of the above works, you can follow the longer procedure described below:
- Wait for up to 60 second after the last button press for your Chipolo ONE Point or CARD Point to go back to sleep (turn off). You will hear your Chipolo beep when this happens.
- Turn off your Android device.
- Turn your Android device back on and wait 2 minutes for the operating system to properly boot up and all the required services start up.
- Place your Chipolo ONE Point or CARD Point next to your Android device and press the Chipolo's button again.
- Your Chipolo will make a beep when you press the button and the popup should now appear again on your Android device.
- Make sure you tap on the 'Connect' button to start the pairing process.
