When the green 'RING TO FIND' button isn't showing in the Chipolo app, the Chipolo and the phone are not actively connected, and the Bluetooth connection most likely needs to be reset.
In most cases, only the first step of the reconnection procedure is needed to re-establish a connection.
Step 1:
- Sign out of the Chipolo app
- Turn off Bluetooth and Wi-Fi
- Wait 30 seconds
- Turn on Bluetooth and Wi-Fi
- Sign back into the Chipolo app
- Wait 10 seconds before checking, so both the phone and the Chipolo re-establish a connection.
Your Chipolo should now be connected.
Step 2:
Chipolo PLUS, CARD and CLASSIC (push button models):
If you have a Chipolo Plus, Card or Classic, press the button for about 20 to 30 seconds to reset its connection. When the reset is done, the Chipolo should make a tiny beeping sound to let you know it has reset and it should start connecting to the Chipolo app on your phone right away. Please keep the app open for the Chipolo to reconnect more easily.

Older Chipolo CLASSIC models (shake and find models):
Do not follow this step if you have a Chipolo PLUS or CARD!
- Open your Chipolo
- Remove the battery
- Wait 5 seconds
- Place your battery back inside, with the positive (+) side up. Does your Chipolo make a beeping sound when the battery is placed back inside? If your Chipolo doesn't beep, it is possible that the battery is empty. Please replace the battery with a new CR 2025 battery.
- Restart your phone to reset the connection on the phone's end as well
- Open the Chipolo app
- Wait 10 seconds before checking, so both the phone and the Chipolo re-establish a connection.
Your Chipolo should now be connected. If you lost your Chipolo please contact our customer support on info@chipolo.net for additional help.
Step 3:
- Close the Chipolo app
- Turn off Bluetooth and Wi-Fi
- Uninstall the app from your phone
- Restart your phone
- Download and install the Chipolo app
- Turn on Bluetooth and Wi-Fi
- Start the Chipolo app
- Wait 10 seconds before checking, so both the phone and the Chipolo re-establish a connection.
Your Chipolo should now be connected.
