Chipolo item finders are compatible with devices running iOS 14 and later, and devices running Android 9 and later. For Chipolo to work, the device must also be equipped with Bluetooth 4.
Google Play Services are required on Android devices for full compatibility.

iOS devices
To use Chipolo on your iPhone or iPad, your device should be updated to iOS version 14 or later.

Important: "Out of Range Alerts" are not available on iPadOS devices due to operating system limitations.
Android devices
With a few exceptions, Chipolo is compatible with all Android devices that run Android 9 or newer.
Google Play Services are required on Android devices for full compatibility, most Android devices come with Google Play Services by default.
Due to the wide variety and ever-increasing list of Android phones, we can't keep an updated and accurate list of every Android device compatible with Chipolo.

Out of Range Alerts phone requirements
The Out of Range Alerts is a feature in the Chipolo app that will alert you when you leave your item behind.
To use the full functionality of the Out of Range Alerts feature, your mobile device must meet the hardware and software requirements outlined below. These features are common and your phone most likely has all the necessary requirements for the Out of Range Alerts to function fully.
iOS devices:
- Running iOS 14 or newer
- Bluetooth 4.0 or newer
- Motion coprocessor (M-series) - available from iPhone 5s onwards
Android devices:
- Running Android 9 or newer
- Bluetooth 4.0 or newer
- Motion sensor
