Every Chipolo app user is anonymously part of the Chipolo Community, helping other Chipolo users find their lost belongings.
When your Chipolo is not connected to the Chipolo app on your phone, the green "Ring" button in the Chipolo app will turn into a blue "Mark as lost" button. If you tap the blue button, you will alert the Chipolo Community that your item is missing, and the entire community will anonymously join in on the search.
When one of the Chipolo community members with the Chipolo app on their phone passes by your lost item, their phone will "see" your lost Chipolo’s new location, and this new location will be anonymously reported to you. It will be sent to the Chipolo app on your phone and to your email.
The bigger the Chipolo Community becomes, the more effective it is in finding your lost items. So invite your friends and family to download the Chipolo app too and join in on the search party.
