The Chipolo POP uses a replaceable CR2032 battery, which will last up to 1 year. This is a battery type that is widely available.
When the battery runs out, you can replace it in 5 simple steps:
- Use your fingernails or insert a smaller tool into the small gap on the side of the Chipolo POP and carefully open the device.
- With your thumbs, push down the battery cover and rotate counterclockwise to remove it.
- Replace the battery with a new CR2032 battery, placing the battery positive side up (text faced up).
- Place the battery cover back on, rotate clockwise, to lock it in.
- Close your Chipolo POP by aligning the top holes on both lids.
