How to use Chipolo with Siri Shortcuts on iOS
With the release of iOS 12, Apple introduced Siri Shortcuts. These allow you to perform specific actions simply by speaking to Siri. The Chipolo app offers shortcuts that enable you to:
- Ring Chipolo.
- Stop ringing Chipolo.
You can set up the commands individually for each of your Chipolos. The Shortcuts will display the names of the Chipolos you own.
You simply choose the action you want to perform and set a command phrase that you will say to Siri to trigger it.
Siri Shortcuts require an iOS device running iOS 12 or newer.
How to set up your Siri Shortcuts
Please follow the steps below to set up Siri Shortcuts for your Chipolo:
- Log in to the Chipolo app on your iOS device.
- Open the Chipolo app and tap on the specific Chipolo you wish to set up.
- Select "Siri Shortcuts" and add both the ring and stop shortcuts.
- Now, simply activate Siri by saying "Hey Siri," followed by your command to ring your Chipolo.
NOTE: If you rename your Chipolo in the Chipolo app, you will need to delete the existing shortcuts and set up new ones to reflect the updated name.
You can view your active shortcuts within the Shortcuts app on your iPhone.
