Battery Saver is a feature on Android devices that is designed to extend your phone's battery life. It does this by limiting the background activity of certain apps and features and it may also limit the device's connectivity.
How Battery Saver works can be different between various devices or operating system versions.
Battery Saver and Chipolo
When Battery Saver is enabled on your device, it may limit background activity as well as network and Bluetooth connectivity. This can affect how apps, including Chipolo, function on your device.
The Chipolo app needs these functionalities to stay connected to your Chipolo(s) and update their status. You may experience loss of connections or delayed updates of the Chipolo app when 'Battery Saver' has been enabled.
What should I do?
The Chipolo Battery Saver notification can be safely dismissed, it is only displayed to inform you about the potential limited functionality of the app while Battery Saver is enabled.
In general, it is advised to keep your phone charged to avoid any features or functionality from being limited.
You can (temporarily) disable or turn off Battery Saver if it's limiting features that you need.
