If your Chipolo POP, LOOP, or CARD emits a short series of beeps when it is moved, it does not mean your device is broken. This sound indicates that a built-in safety feature designed to prevent unwanted tracking has been activated.
What is unwanted tracking protection?
This is a mandatory safety feature for all Bluetooth trackers that work within the Apple Find My and Google Find Hub networks. Its purpose is to alert anyone that an unknown tracker is nearby, protecting people from being tracked without their knowledge.
Why is my Chipolo beeping?
The unwanted tracking alert is automatically triggered when a Chipolo has not been connected to its owner's phone for a certain period of time.
When the Chipolo detects motion after being separated from your phone for a while, it will beep to make its presence known.
How can I prevent my Chipolo from beeping?
To prevent these alerts from triggering, simply ensure that Bluetooth, Location Services, and Wi-Fi or mobile data remain enabled on your phone.
