When you no longer want to have your Chipolo added to your Apple ID, it can be removed through the Apple Find My app. After removing it, you will no longer be able to track it, and the tracker can be paired again with a different account.
It is advised to have the Chipolo close to your device when removing it from your account. If your device can't connect to the Chipolo when it is being removed, it has to be factory reset before it can be registered again.
See How to factory reset the Chipolo ONE Spot or CARD Spot? to learn how to do this. If you have a Chipolo POP, LOOP, or CARD model, you can check this article instead.
- Open the Find My app on your supported iPhone or iPad.
- Choose the "Items" tab.
- Tap on your Chipolo in the items list.
- Scroll to the bottom of the screen and tap on "Remove Item".
- A summary will open, tap "Remove" to confirm and continue.
- Another dialog will open, tap "Remove" to re-confirm. Find My will now remove your Chipolo from your Apple ID.
- If the Chipolo is not connected to your device during removal, the Find My app will ask for additional confirmation. Tap "Remove" to continue.
Your Chipolo has now been successfully removed from your Apple ID.
