This article is related to the Chipolo ONE Spot or CARD Spot and the Apple Find My app.
The Apple Find My app offers two different ways to be notified of your Chipolo ONE Spot or CARD Spot's location when it is not with you. These features can only be activated when your ONE Spot or CARD Spot is not detected in your device's Bluetooth range.
- "Notify when found" - notifications
- This will simply push a notification to your device(s) with an updated location when it's spotted by an Apple Find My enabled device.
- "Lost Mode"
- When you have really lost your item and you want to share your contact information and a message with whoever finds it in order to have it returned to you.
Enabling 'Notify when found'
If you are not sure where your Chipolo ONE Spot or CARD Spot is located and it is not within range of your device, you can enable notifications to be sent to your device if it is spotted by another Find My enabled device. This may give you a quick update on the item’s current location.
- In the Find My items tab, tap on your Chipolo ONE Spot or CARD Spot.
- Under 'Notifications', enable the 'Notify When Found' toggle.
- You will now receive a notification with an updated location when your Chipolo ONE Spot or CARD Spot is seen by a Find My enabled device.

Enabling ‘Lost Mode’
In addition to being notified when your item was spotted by another Find My enabled device, you can also set a message that would be shown to the person who finds your item with your phone number. You do this by enabling ‘Lost mode’.
- In the Find My items tab, tap on your Chipolo ONE Spot or CARD Spot.
- Under 'Lost Mode', tap 'Enable'.
- A screen with a description of Lost Mode will open, tap 'continue'.
- Enter your phone number and tap 'Next' to continue. Alternatively, you may choose to be contacted via email. Tap 'Use an email address' to do so.
- You may now enter a message that will be shared with the finder of your item, or use the default one. By default, 'Notify when Found' will be enabled as well. You can chose to disable it by tapping the toggle. Finally, tap 'Activate' to enable 'Lost Mode'.
- In addition to seeing 'Lost Mode' activated in the item's details overview, a lock-icon on your item will be shown in the Items overview tab.
In the Find My items tab, tap on your Chipolo ONE Spot or CARD Spot.
Under 'Lost Mode', tap 'Enable'.
