All Apple Find My-enabled finders, including Chipolo ONE Spot and CARD Spot, are designed to discourage unwanted tracking.
If a Chipolo ONE Spot or a CARD Spot that belongs to someone else is near you for a longer period of time, your iPhone will alert you. After a while, the Chipolo ONE Spot and CARD Spot will also start playing a sound to let you know it’s still there.
These Safety Alerts are only triggered when the Chipolo ONE Spot or CARD Spot is separated from their owner for a longer period of time. If you are moving together with the owner of the Chipolo ONE Spot or CARD Spot, the alert will not be triggered.
How to disable a Chipolo ONE Spot or CARD Spot
If you receive a message on your Apple device that a Chipolo ONE Spot or CARD Spot has been detected near you and you are not familiar with this device, you can make this Chipolo ONE Spot or CARD Spot ring through the Apple Find My app.
After locating the item it can be disabled. After disabling the device, the owner will no longer receive updates on the location of this ONE Spot or CARD Spot and it will no longer trigger Safety Alerts.
